Tess Unlimited
Tess Unlimited (Tess Sin Limites) is a non-profit organization based in Guatemala providing comprehensive cleft care for children and adults born with cleft lip and palate.
The Tess Unlimited team works tirelessly to locate children who need cleft care, supply them with nutrition and pediatric care to ensure they are strong for surgery, provide surgery and post-operative care, and deliver services such as speech therapy, dental care, and orthodontia.
Without the help of Tess Unlimited, many children born with cleft lip and palate in Guatemala would never have access to reparative surgery. Tess Unlimited commits itself to helping these children, providing them with the opportunity to lead a happy and meaningful life.

Tulipanes Hospital
The Tulipanes Hospital operated by Tess Unlimited opened in 2020 and is the first and only cleft lip hospital in Guatemala. Tulipanes hosts international and local teams of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses who perform cleft lip, cleft palate, and other necessary surgeries for patients born with cleft.
Tulipanes aims to offer a “home away from home.” Children with cleft lip and palate often undergo multiple surgeries and treatments from a young age, which can be very scary.
Tulipanes strives to welcome them with open arms and smiles on their faces. The many details, cheerful colors, and playful murals make the hospital very child-friendly. This is the place where smiles are made.
